Later, he opened Alias Smith and Jones, a wildly popular watering hole at Paradise and Twain and then went on to open the Burger Garden on Flamingo. In 1979 he opened the Garden Eatery at Charleston and Rancho to try and capture the breakfast, lunch and dinner market in that area. When it became apparent that dinner was not going to be popular in that location he changed to the Omelet house concept to focus exclusively on breakfast and lunch.
